Care Guide-General Care
Typical Characteristics of a New Carpet
Watermarking - A natural phenomena known as "shading," "pooling," or "watermarking" may occur on any type of carpet, whether it is woven, tufted, fused, or handmade. It usually occurs two to six weeks after installation and results in a lasting alteration in the appearance of the carpet. "Shading" is not a flaw in the carpet's construction and has no bearing on its longevity.
Shedding- Every new cut pile carpet has a certain amount of loose fibers. Since the number is negligible in relation to the overall fiber content, it is unimportant. You may get rid of them without damaging the carpet by vacuuming regularly.
General Maintenance
- To prevent piles from being pushed under heavy furniture legs, place rug protectors beneath them.
- Instead of taking out any threads, cut them with scissors if there are any.
Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
- Your rug will last longer if you rotate it
- Do not wash the rugs as they’re handmade and can get spoiled if washed.
- To store your rug, roll out the front and cover it with a cloth for protection.
-
To prevent stains from setting, clear up spills right away by blotting them with
a fresh, absorbent cloth. Make sure the rug is dry and all cleaning supplies have been removed.
- Regularly vacuum in various directions while using low power and avoiding the
beater brush to avoid damaging the carpet.
Vacuuming Tips-
- Vacuuming frequently over fringes and edges should be avoided as this might
lead to damage.
- Powerful vacuums should be avoided since they have the potential to remove
fibres from the base.
- Rugs can be cleaned with canister vacuums, brooms, and hand-held
attachments.
- Beater bars may cause harm to carpets. Use only in the gentlest settings and
with caution.
- Vacuuming Schedule
- Light Traffic- Vacuum weekly
- Medium Traffic- Thrice weekly
- High Traffic- Vacuum daily
